The pacing is slow and deliberate, mirroring the halting steps one takes in processing loss. Strutzel's narration is exceptional, his voice rich and nuanced, bringing Nouwen's words to life with a depth of emotion that's almost palpable. My only critique is that the transitions between the two works, 'In Memoriam' and 'A Letter of Consolation', could be a bit smoother, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise powerful listening experience.
