I was thoroughly engaged by American Inheritance's nuanced exploration of the Revolutionary era. David de Vries's steady narration provided an excellent foundation for Larson's dense, well-researched narrative. One of the standout aspects of this audiobook is its ability to seamlessly weave together the stories of marginalized communities with the broader historical context. If I have any criticisms, it's that some sections felt a bit dense, and a few of the supporting characters could have been fleshed out further. Nonetheless, this is a vital contribution to our understanding of American history, and de Vries's narration does it full justice.
