I was hooked from the first chapter. Fernando's writing is raw and real, her characters complex and compelling. Arrow is a heroine you can't help but root for, and her journey from naive little sister to fierce protector is a thrilling one. Christensen and York's narration is top-notch, their ability to differentiate between characters and maintain the tension in the story is nothing short of impressive. The pacing is fast and furious, with twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully fleshed out, but that's a small complaint in an otherwise gripping listen. This audiobook is perfect for fans of action-packed, character-driven stories that don't shy away from the gritty reality of the world they inhabit.
