As someone who appreciates well-crafted humor and insightful drama, I was immediately drawn into Art. The brilliant performances by Bob Balaban and Brian Cox, along with Brian Perry, masterfully capture the complexity and emotional intensity of the story. Balaban's portrayal of Serge is especially compelling, showcasing the character's passion and vulnerability. The actors' ability to switch between multiple roles with distinct accents and mannerisms adds a delightful layer of complexity to the audiobook. The pacing is well-executed, with just the right balance of tension and comedic relief. However, I did find the transitions between characters slightly jarring at times, which occasionally disrupted the flow of the story. Nevertheless, Art is a must-listen for fans of intelligent, character-driven dramas with a touch of humor.
