As I embarked on the gripping audiobook of Ashes, narrated by an incredible cast led by Stella Ripley, I found myself instantly drawn into the tense, suspenseful world of Chapel Crest. The voices of Joe Arden, Edward Black, J. Tipstone, Michael Gallagher, and Sean Masters each bring a unique flavor to the story, seamlessly blending together to create a rich and immersive experience. One particular standout moment is the unexpected twist where the protagonist's past is unveiled, making it impossible not to feel the tension building up. However, at times, the pacing can feel a bit slow, causing some listeners to yearn for a faster progression of the story. Nonetheless, the audiobook is undoubtedly a thrilling ride, and the exceptional narration makes it well worth the listen.
