Bared Souls

I’ve listened to my fair share of romantic suspense, but *Bared Souls* took me on a ride so visceral I had to pause playback more than once just to process what I’d heard. Teddy Hamilton’s narration is the standout here, his voice dripping with the kind of wounded masculinity that makes your stomach twist. He nails the protagonist’s internal monologues—especially when he’s spiraling into self-loathing—with a gritty realism that feels like a gut punch. Savannah Peachwood is his perfect foil, her delivery sharp and playful when the plot calls for it, but never shying away from the darker edges of her character. That said, the pacing stumbles a bit in the middle act, where the story lingers on backstory a beat too long, and some readers might find the male lead’s emotional whiplash from brooding to possessive frustrating. Still, the payoff is worth it. The climax is a tour de force, narrated with such intensity I had to remind myself to breathe. At 9 hours and 39 minutes, it’s a commitment, but if you crave romance that doesn’t flinch from the ugly parts of love, this audiobook will wreck you—in the best way.
