Bastial Steel

I was hooked from the opening scenes, as Cleve finds himself in the midst of a chaotic battle between human and monstrous forces. Steve Marvel's narration perfectly captures the frenetic energy of the action, and his ability to convey the emotional weight of Cleve's journey is truly impressive. One of the standout aspects of the story is the world-building, which is both intricate and intuitive – Narro has clearly put a lot of thought into crafting a richly detailed environment that feels authentic and immersive. If I have any criticisms, it's that the pacing can feel a bit uneven at times, with some sections feeling a touch too slow compared to others. Additionally, some listeners may find the sheer number of characters and plot threads overwhelming at first – it takes a bit of time to fully get your bearings in this complex world. However, these minor quibbles are easily overlooked in light of the overall quality of the story and the excellent narration. Overall, I would highly recommend Bastial Steel to fans of action-adventure and classic literature – it's a true page-turner that will keep you guessing until the very end.
