I was hooked from the very first chapter, thanks in no small part to the dynamic narration duo of Austin Rising and Stephanie Wyles. Rising's gruff, gravelly voice is the perfect embodiment of the wounded warrior, Dayton Nash, while Wyles' sweet, sultry tones bring Summer Sullivan to life with a vulnerability that had me rooting for her from the start. The pacing is spot on, balancing intense, heart-pounding action with tender, intimate moments that had me swooning. My only critique is that the ending felt a tad rushed, but it's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen.
