That said, the book isn’t flawless. Doros occasionally assumes too much prior knowledge, leaving listeners without a finance degree scrambling to Google “UTXOs” mid-chapter. A glossary would’ve saved me three separate 2 AM Google spirals. Production-wise, the audio is crisp—no tinny echoes or distracting background noise—just McAlister’s voice, steady as a metronome. The editing is so clean you forget you’re not in a studio. My only nitpick? The final third veers into ideological preaching, with Doros painting Bitcoin’s detractors as either fools or villains. It’s a shame, because the first two-thirds are so compelling they could’ve swayed even the most skeptical listener. Still, this isn’t a dry textbook; it’s a challenge wrapped in a narrative, and McAlister’s performance makes that challenge feel like an invitation.
