About This Audiobook

Blueprints is a heartwarming tale of two generations of women, bound by blood and the blueprints of their lives. Delinsky's prose is as robust as the timber Caroline MacAfee works with, each sentence a carefully crafted beam supporting the story's structure. Amy Rubinate's narration is a standout feature, her voice as warm and inviting as a well-built home. She masterfully differentiates characters, making each voice distinct and authentic. This audiobook is a distinctive blend of family drama and women's fiction, with a dash of DIY charm.

Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I was drawn into Blueprints from the very first sawdust-filled page. Delinsky's exploration of mother-daughter dynamics is both poignant and relatable, with Caroline and Jamie's relationship evolving beautifully over the audiobook's 14-hour runtime. Rubinate's narration is a joy, her pacing allowing the story to unfold naturally, like a well-planned construction project. However, I found some of the secondary characters a tad one-dimensional, which was a minor letdown in an otherwise richly textured narrative. Overall, Blueprints is a satisfying listen, perfect for those who enjoy stories about women navigating life's complexities, one hammer swing at a time.
