Boy, Bye!

As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Boy, Bye!'s pulsating rhythm, thanks in large part to Molly Gallegos' narration. She effortlessly switches between English and Spanish, giving each character a unique voice and infusing the story with a sense of authenticity. Sherman's writing is sharp and witty, with a knack for creating memorable, relatable characters. The pacing is excellent, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats with a plot that's equal parts hilarious and heart-wrenching. My only critique is that some of the Spanish phrases could have been translated in the text for those less familiar with the language. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook that's perfect for fans of smart, sassy women's fiction with a Latinx twist.
