Breaking New Ground

Lauren Berst delivers an outstanding narration in ‘Breaking New Ground’. Her ability to distinguish between the characters—Korey Bontrager, Savannah Zook, and their supporting cast—is impeccable. Each character’s voice is distinct yet perfectly fits their personality, adding depth to the storytelling. The pacing is just right, neither too slow nor rushed, allowing listeners time to absorb the emotional weight of each scene. The story explores themes of forgiveness, family bonds, and first love with sincerity that makes it feel fresh even in a genre saturated with similar narratives. One critique I have is that some of the plot twists felt slightly predictable; however, this minor drawback does not diminish the overall quality or enjoyment of the audiobook.
