Bury Her Bones

I devoured Bury Her Bones in a single listening session, and I'm still trying to shake off the chills. Toni Alden's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. She brings a gritty realism to Darcy, making her a protagonist you can't help but root for. The story is a masterclass in pacing, with Padavona expertly doling out suspense and revelations like a seasoned dealer at a high-stakes poker game. The only critique I have is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully realized, but it's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding thriller. If you're a fan of edge-of-your-seat suspense, this is a must-listen.
