Siobhan, voicing Capri, delivers a performance that’s equal parts brittle and heartbroken, her voice trembling just enough to make the cracks in her character’s armor feel real. Baldwin, as Nova’s perpetually toxic boyfriend, oozes charm with a razor’s edge, so you’ll hate him before you even finish the first chapter. The pacing is relentless; Jahquel J. doesn’t give you time to catch your breath, and that’s a good thing. If there’s a misstep, it’s the sheer volume of secrets—at times, it feels like characters are hiding things just to keep the plot moving, which strains credibility. But the production quality is top-tier, with just enough ambient sound (waves crashing, distant parties) to immerse you without drowning out the voices. By the final act, I was clutching my phone, desperate to know if Capri’s redemption was possible—or if some wounds cut too deep.
