Catching the Captain

I devoured Catching the Captain in record time, thanks in no small part to the fantastic narration. Ash Beverly and Ellie Gossage are a dream team, bringing a perfect balance of grit and vulnerability to Kaiden and Emma. Beverly's deep, resonant voice lends itself beautifully to Kaiden's tough exterior, while Gossage's warm, expressive tones capture Emma's strength and vulnerability. The pacing is spot on, with just the right amount of tension and release to keep you on the edge of your seat. My only critique? I wish we'd gotten a little more insight into Kaiden's past to fully understand his initial reluctance to commit. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise fantastic listen.
