Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As someone who's dabbled in the world of firefighting novels, I found Chasing Fire to be an exciting and engrossing listen. Rebecca Lowman's narration is superb, her voice perfectly capturing the intensity and emotion of the smoke jumpers' lives. The way she portrays Rowan's struggle to balance her passion for firefighting with her feelings for her brother's best friend, Congreve, is heart-wrenching. The story is well-paced, with enough action and suspense to keep me hooked until the very end. However, I did find some of the secondary characters' storylines to be a bit underdeveloped, which made it difficult for me to fully connect with their arcs. Overall, Chasing Fire is a solid listen for fans of thrilling stories and strong female leads, with a standout narration that elevates the entire experience.
