Shannon Tyo’s performance in 'Coldwire' is nothing short of exceptional. Her ability to convey the nuances of Xiaolong Liang’s emotions, from vulnerability and strength to her growing love for Benji Park, is breathtaking. The pacing is well-balanced, seamlessly transitioning between intimate moments and high-stakes action sequences. However, there are a couple of plot points that feel slightly underdeveloped, particularly in the middle third where some twists could have been more clearly foreshadowed. Despite this minor critique, the audiobook’s narrative strength lies in its exploration of cyberpunk ethics and the human condition, making it an engaging listen for fans of both romance and science fiction.
