As I immersed myself in Come l'arancio amaro, Aurora Peres' narration became the gentle breeze that carried me through the pages. Her voice was like a warm embrace, making me feel as if I were sitting beside Carlotta and Milena, sharing their joys and sorrows. What struck me most was how the story unfolded slowly, much like the opening of an orange blossom, revealing layers of depth and emotion. Peres' ability to convey the nuances of the characters' relationships was exceptional, especially in the quieter moments when the true depth of their friendships was revealed. However, I did find the pacing to be a bit uneven at times, with some sections feeling slower than others. Despite this, Come l'arancio amaro remains a beautifully crafted tale of friendship and self-discovery, with Peres' narration making it a must-listen experience.
