Crusade

As someone who has a deep interest in military history, I found Crusade by Rick Atkinson to be a riveting listen. Jeff Riggenbach's narration is superb, bringing the raw emotions and tactical intricacies of the Gulf War to life. The pacing is spot-on, allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in the stories of those who fought on the front lines. Atkinson's attention to detail and his ability to weave together the various threads of the conflict create a cohesive and thought-provoking narrative. While the audiobook does an excellent job of shedding light on the untold stories of the Gulf War, I found myself craving more context on the geopolitical landscape leading up to the conflict. Nonetheless, Crusade is a must-listen for any history enthusiast looking to explore the complex and often overlooked aspects of this pivotal moment in modern Middle Eastern history.
