Listening to Cursed City is like being on a rollercoaster ride through a dark, twisted cityscape, with Viv Abbott as our fierce and determined guide. The narration is spot-on, capturing Viv's snarky wit and steely resolve, as well as the deep, velvety tones of the city's more... intriguing inhabitants. The pacing is excellent, balancing intense action sequences with moments of tender, if sometimes tense, romance. The production is top-notch, with sound effects and music that truly immerse you in the world. However, I must admit, I found the constant switching between past and present tense a bit jarring at times. But that's a minor critique in an otherwise gripping listen. If you're a fan of dark fantasy romance with a healthy dose of action and suspense, this audiobook is a must-listen.
