Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I devoured Dark Water Rising in a single sitting, drawn in by Seth's relatable struggles and the story's non-stop action. Stephen Hoye's narration is superb, conveying the protagonist's emotions with nuance and conviction. One of the standout aspects of this audiobook is its pacing – the story moves at a breakneck speed, with each chapter ending on a cliffhanger that kept me eagerly anticipating the next. My only criticisms are that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, and the story's themes of identity and belonging could be explored in more depth. Still, these are minor quibbles in an otherwise excellent audiobook that I would highly recommend to fans of YA adventure stories.
