I was immediately drawn into 'Dragons in the Waters' by the atmospheric setting and the intrigue surrounding Simon's family heirloom. Michael Crouch's narration is exceptional, his ability to differentiate characters and build suspense is truly impressive. The pacing is spot on, balancing action and intrigue with moments of reflection. However, some of L'Engle's philosophical musings can feel a tad heavy-handed at times, but they're easily forgiven in the face of such an engaging story. Overall, this is an audiobook that's not to be missed.
