Let’s talk about the narration because it’s a star here. Erin Quinn and Grayson Owens bring distinct energy to the audiobook—Quinn’s voice drips with smoldering intensity for the stepbrother, while Owens nails the cocky, charming boyfriend’s best friend with effortless swagger. Their performances elevate the story, making the love triangle feel visceral. That said, the production has a few rough edges. There are moments where the audio clarity dips, especially during intense scenes, which pulls you out of the moment. The pacing is relentless, though, which works in its favor because Stunich’s writing doesn’t waste time on fluff. The plot’s twists are well-timed, though I wish the emotional payoffs had been a tad more fleshed out in the later acts. That said, the ride is worth it. The moral dilemmas are compelling, the romantic tension is off the charts, and the serial killer subplot adds a layer of unease that keeps you guessing. If you love romance that’s equal parts steamy and sinister, this audiobook is a must-listen. Just be prepared to stay up way past your bedtime.
