His hypervigilance isn’t sexy; it’s a flaw that pushes Jaz away, and their dynamic crackles with authentic friction. The narration sells it: Christian Black’s Liam sounds like a man who’s spent years barking orders, his voice rough with repressed emotion, while Laurie West’s Jaz is all clipped syllables and defiance. Their chemistry in the booth is electric, especially in the banter-heavy scenes where the subtext could cut glass. That said, the middle act drags slightly with repetitive security breaches that start to feel like filler. And while the villain’s motives are clear, their execution leans a bit too much on ‘mustache-twirling’ territory for a story that otherwise grounds itself in realism. Still, the production quality is flawless—no awkward edits or volume jumps—and the final act’s emotional payoff (particularly Liam’s breakdown scene) is worth the price of admission alone.
