Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an editor, I devoured Folly and Glory in its entirety, and I can confidently say that it's a true masterpiece. Alfred Molina's narration is a perfect complement to McMurtry's writing, bringing a level of warmth and gravitas to the story that's simply irresistible. One of the things that really stood out to me was the way Molina handles the character of Asa, the Berrybender family's enigmatic and troubled patriarch. Molina brings a level of nuance and subtlety to the role that's simply captivating, and his performance helps to elevate the entire story. Of course, no audiobook is perfect, and I did find myself occasionally struggling to keep track of the numerous characters and plot threads in the midst of the story's frenetic pace. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding production. Overall, I would highly recommend Folly and Glory to anyone looking for a sweeping, epic tale of the American West that's both deeply engaging and richly rewarding. With its outstanding narration, vivid world-building, and unforgettable characters, this is an audiobook experience you won't soon forget.
