I was immediately drawn into the world of For Myself Alone, thanks in no small part to Beverley A. Crick's wonderful narration. Her ability to capture the essence of Austen's style while making it her own is truly impressive. The story itself is a charming blend of wit, romance, and social commentary, with a heroine who is equal parts intelligent and impulsive. The pacing is spot on, keeping the listener engaged and eager to find out what happens next. My only critique is that I wish there had been a bit more depth to the secondary characters, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook.
