Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death

Penelope Keith’s narration is a highlight, her voice lending an authentic English countryside feel to the story. The plot is tightly constructed with enough twists to keep you guessing until the very last page—or in this case, the very last audiobook file. Keith’s portrayal of Agatha Raisin balances humor and depth expertly; she nails the character's quick wit and underlying vulnerability. However, the pacing can be a bit uneven at times, occasionally dragging on slightly too long between key plot developments. Nevertheless, it's an engaging listen that delivers on both mystery and charm.
