Agnes at the End of the World

Brittany Pressley’s narration is a standout element in this audiobook. Her voice perfectly conveys Agnes’ innocence and bravery, especially during the tense moments when Agnes faces both her past and an uncertain future. The story’s pacing is well-balanced, transitioning smoothly between quiet reflections of Red Creek life and heart-stopping escapes. However, there are instances where the transition from interior monologues to external action feels a bit abrupt, which might jar listeners momentarily. Despite this minor critique, Agnes at the End of the World remains an engaging and thought-provoking listen that fans of dystopian fiction will find hard to put down.
