A standout element is her portrayal of diverse characters, each with their own distinct voices and emotions, which brings the real people behind the crime to life. While the complexity of Nuestra Familia’s history might initially feel overwhelming, Campbell’s guidance makes it accessible. The one minor critique is that some of the legal jargon could have been explained more clearly; however, this doesn’t detract from the overall quality and impact of the audiobook.
