The story takes an unexpected turn from its promising premise, delivering a plot that is both engaging and surprising. The pacing is brisk, maintaining a tight grip on listeners throughout. However, some might find the narrative slightly overwrought at times, particularly when Charles's inner monologues veer into self-pity. Despite this minor flaw, the production values are top-notch, with excellent sound design that transports you directly to the setting of the crime reconstruction programme.
