Listening to ‘Courted by the Grumpy Dragon’ was like stepping into a cozy autumn evening. Narrators Samantha Cook and Gabriel Spires bring their roles to life with such nuance that it’s hard not to feel the tension between the grumpy dragon and the library worker. The pacing is masterfully handled, making every moment count without feeling rushed or drawn out. What I found particularly endearing was how the authors skillfully wove humor into the narrative, providing delightful moments of levity amidst the romance. However, there were a few instances where the plot felt slightly predictable, which could be seen as a minor critique for those expecting more twists. Despite this, it’s an audiobook that will keep you hooked until the very last page (or in this case, minute).
