As I listened to this audiobook, I found myself drawn into the world of true crime, where nothing is as it seems. Aleix Peña Miralles' narration is a key factor in this immersion, his voice commanding attention and conveying the emotional intensity of each case. His performance is seamless, effortlessly gliding between the most disturbing details and the more mundane aspects of the investigations. While some listeners may find the cases to be overly graphic, I applaud Porta's commitment to accuracy and the unflinching portrayal of human nature. My only quibble is with the pacing, which occasionally feels rushed, particularly during the more complex cases. However, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise exceptional audiobook. If you're a fan of true crime, be prepared for a thought-provoking and unsettling experience.
