Dark Origins

Todd Menesses’ narration is nothing short of exceptional in Dark Origins. His ability to shift between characters is seamless, making each story feel like its own unique world. The pacing is just right – slow enough to build tension but fast enough to keep you engaged throughout the collection. One particular standout for me was 'Hour of the Huntress,' where Menesses perfectly captures the desperation and fear of Jenny Barnes as she searches for her missing sister. However, one critique I have is that some of the later stories felt a bit predictable after the initial shock factor wore off. Overall, this audiobook delivers a compelling mix of horror and mystery that will keep listeners hooked until the very end.
