Virtual Voice's performance as David Shepherd is nothing short of brilliant. His tone shifts seamlessly between charismatic senator and vulnerable husband, capturing the raw emotions of betrayal and the calculated moves of political maneuvering. The storytelling is relentless—there’s barely a pause for breath from beginning to end. However, there are a couple of moments where the narrative could have benefited from a bit more clarity, leaving some plot points a little ambiguous. Despite this minor critique, Dead State remains an engaging and thrilling listen that keeps you hooked until the very last minute.
