Rivas’ story is a poignant exploration of creativity under oppression, where a simple pencil transforms not only a prison wall but also the souls of those around him. However, the audiobook could benefit from clearer transitions between scenes and perhaps more dynamic vocal inflections during particularly emotional passages to fully convey the intensity of the narrative.
