The pacing is brisk and engaging, never letting the mood drag or lull into monotony. A particular highlight is when Henry mentions games and ice cream – Mudge's anticipation crackles through Guidall’s delivery. However, at times, the brevity can feel a bit rushed; a few more descriptive moments might have deepened our connection to these characters. Nonetheless, this audiobook remains an enjoyable listen that encapsulates the simple pleasures of childhood.
