Federay Holmes delivers a tour de force performance that breathes new life into James Patterson’s already compelling narrative. Her portrayal of Detective Harriet Blue is so vivid and nuanced, you can almost feel the sweat on her brow as she runs from the law. The pacing is impeccable; the build-up to each revelation keeps you on the edge of your seat. However, some of the subplot developments felt a bit rushed, which detracted slightly from the overall flow. Nonetheless, this audiobook remains a standout in its genre, delivering non-stop excitement and sharp dialogue that will have you questioning what’s real and what isn’t.
