I went into 'No More Mr Nice Girl' with a mix of trepidation and curiosity, and what I got was a journey that left me breathless and questioning everything. Mikael Naramore's narration is one of the standout elements of this audiobook – he has a way of conveying the complex emotions and inner turmoil that Esper is going through without ever feeling like he's overacting or being too intense. One of the things that really stood out to me, though, was the pacing of the story. At times it feels like Morin is intentionally disrupting the tension and suspense, only to ratchet it back up again a few minutes later. While this can be jarring at first, it ultimately adds to the sense of unpredictability and keeps listeners on their toes. My only real critique of the audiobook is that some of the supporting characters feel a bit one-dimensional at times, particularly in the early stages of the story. I would have loved to see a bit more development and depth to the people around Esper, but even this minor quibble can't detract from the overall impact of the narrative. Overall, 'No More Mr Nice Girl' is a gripping, unsettling, and thought-provoking listen that will stick with you long after the credits roll.
