Stefan Rudnicki's narration is nothing short of brilliant in Revolutionary Summer. His delivery maintains the gravity and urgency of the historical moment without overwhelming it with too much emotion. The pacing is just right, allowing listeners to absorb the complexities of the political climate while still feeling engaged throughout. Ellis' narrative shines a light on lesser-known figures like John Adams and his wife Abigail, adding depth to the well-trodden tale of George Washington and the Continental Army. However, the book does veer slightly too close to over-explanation at times, which can detract from the flow of the story. Despite this minor critique, Revolutionary Summer remains a compelling journey into America's revolutionary past.
