Paul Michael delivers an electrifying performance as Mike Garin, making every moment feel raw and authentic. The pacing is impeccable, never allowing you to catch your breath between intense action sequences and subtle psychological twists. Kirsanow’s writing paints vivid scenarios that leap off the page (or in this case, off the headphones), each element meticulously crafted to build a palpable sense of dread and anticipation. While some plot points feel predictable, the overall execution is so engaging it barely matters. The tension between Mike and his Russian adversary is especially well-realized, capturing both the grim determination and chilling fear that define their deadly game.
