Basil Sands' commanding narration adds an almost cinematic quality to the story, making the border landscapes come alive with his deep, resonant voice. His portrayal of the protagonist Jonathan Grave, a former soldier turned vigilante, is both menacing and sympathetic, adding layers to the narrative. The pacing is impeccable, never lagging despite the complex plot that weaves together multiple perspectives. However, some sections felt slightly rushed, particularly in the climactic confrontation scenes, which might have benefited from more nuanced delivery.
