I devoured this audiobook in one sitting, and I'm still reeling from the twists and turns. Tony Roberts does a phenomenal job of bringing Stone Barrington to life, capturing his humor, sophistication, and street smarts with ease. The pacing is breakneck, with Woods' expertly crafted plot unfolding at a breathless clip. Where the book falls short is in its somewhat predictable villain – I saw the twist coming a mile away. Still, it's a minor quibble in an otherwise fantastic thriller. Woods' Manhattan is a character in its own right, and Roberts' narration perfectly captures the city's essence.
