Kwame Alexander’s narration brings a unique energy to Swing, his voice perfectly inflected to match the rhythm and emotion of each verse. His ability to convey Noah and Walt’s inner worlds is nothing short of exceptional; he captures their insecurities, friendships, and burgeoning identities with both sensitivity and wit. The pacing is just right, allowing for moments of quiet introspection alongside more dynamic scenes. However, there are a few instances where the narrative could benefit from slight editing to avoid repetitive phrases that might detract from the overall flow. Despite these minor critiques, Swing remains an incredibly compelling audiobook that resonates deeply with its target audience.
