The Gathering

Kristin Atherton's narration is nothing short of brilliant in The Gathering. Her ability to shift tones effortlessly, from lighthearted to chilling, keeps listeners on edge throughout the audiobook. Each character comes alive under her portrayal, especially Sarah’s growing unease that drives much of the narrative. The pacing is impeccable, maintaining a perfect balance between dialogue and descriptive passages. However, some of the quieter moments feel a bit rushed, which slightly diminishes their impact. Despite this minor flaw, the overall experience is hauntingly compelling, making it hard to stop listening even when you know what’s coming next.
