Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

One of the things that sets this audiobook apart is its thoughtful exploration of grief and trauma, handled with a sensitivity and nuance that's all too rare in the genre. Bradley's use of period detail is also noteworthy, immersing listeners in the sights, sounds, and smells of rural England in the 1950s. If I have one quibble, it's that some of the supporting characters feel a tad one-dimensional – but this is a minor complaint in what's otherwise a truly exceptional mystery.
