However, at times the narrative feels a bit too reliant on over-the-top dialogue, which can make some scenes feel slightly unbelievable. Despite this minor flaw, Lesley Pearse’s writing remains sharp and engaging, making this audiobook a must-listen for fans of family drama and literary fiction.
