The Princess and the Wizard

Imelda Staunton’s performance is nothing short of spectacular. Her rich, expressive voice brings every character to life with such nuance that you can almost imagine the bustling streets of the city or the tranquil waters of the lake where Eliza finds herself transformed into a blue fish. The pacing is perfect, allowing each change in form and location to unfold at just the right speed, keeping both children and adults engrossed from start to finish. One minor critique is that some of the geographical elements could have been more explicitly explained for younger listeners, but this doesn't detract from the overall charm. A must-listen for anyone who wants their child to learn about the world while enjoying a captivating fairytale.
