Yael Eylat-Tanaka’s performance as Amanda Gray is nothing short of brilliant. Her deep and resonant voice conveys the complexity of emotions with such authenticity that it's easy to lose track of where narrator ends and character begins. The story itself is a remarkable interweaving of past and present, revealing layers of personal history that threaten to consume the protagonist at every turn. However, there are moments when the narrative could benefit from tighter pacing; some scenes drag slightly, potentially disrupting the otherwise seamless emotional flow. Despite this minor critique, The Singing Sands remains an engrossing and deeply moving listen that will leave you reflecting long after the final chapter.
