As someone who's devoured her fair share of small-town romances, I went into The True Love Quilting Club with high expectations – and I'm thrilled to report that it exceeds them in every way. Wilde's writing is, as always, top-notch, with a narrative that flows as smoothly as a summer breeze. Zimmerman's performance is, in a word, perfection. She imbues each character with such nuance and depth that you'll find yourself rooting for them all, from the lovelorn newcomer to the wisecracking septuagenarian. If I have one gripe, it's that the supporting characters could use a bit more development. It's easy to get lost in the larger-than-life personalities of the quilting club, but the quieter supporting characters often feel like, well, supporting characters. Still, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise flawless audiobook. Wilde and Zimmerman have crafted a true gem – a listen that's guaranteed to leave you feeling uplifted, inspired, and maybe even a little bit wiser. So grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and get ready to fall head over heels for the people of Twilight, Texas.
