As a long-time fan of rom-coms, I was excited to dive into 'The Truth According to Ember,' and I was not disappointed. Siena East's narration is a standout, bringing a warmth and likability to Ember's character that had me cheering her on from the start. One of the things that really stood out to me was the way the author wove together themes of identity, family, and cultural heritage. It's a testament to Nava's skill as a writer that she can tackle such complex topics with humor and sensitivity. Of course, no audiobook is perfect, and I did find myself wishing for a bit more resolution in the supporting cast. At times, some of the secondary characters felt a bit one-dimensional, and I would have loved to see more development in that regard.
